Gary joined us in January 2022 as a Trainee Health & Safety Advisor.
After achieving his BTEC Diplomas in Engineering both level 2 and level 3 and a level 2 in Mechanical Operations, in 2013 he started his career as a Pipe Fitter in the commercial building services industry as a pipe fitters mate where he gained practical experience in Pipe fitting. In 2015 he started a Heating and Ventilation course at Hartlepool College of Further Education to gain the qualification he needed to be a time served pipe fitter. He completed an advanced apprenticeship in heating and ventilation and qualified as a Pipe Fitter/Welder in 2019. During this time he took an interest in health and safety and began studying the NEBOSH construction qualification, which he hopes to complete this year. Outside of work he likes to spend time with family and friends, either doing absolutely nothing and sitting with his feet up or likes to be out on the move all day. He especially enjoys the outdoors and going on long walks in country parks and is partial to a trip to the pub! |
