Carney Consultancy Limited attending White Van Roadshow in support of Working Well Together22/6/2017
WHITE VAN ROADSHOW |
Carney Consultancy Limited will be attending the White Van Roadshow. The event is being run by Working Well Together (WWT) - an industry led initiative, sponsored and supported by the HSE. The week-long White Van Roadshow, which begins Monday 26th June, aims to raise awareness about the risks workers on construction sites face every day, to try and cut the number of deaths and injuries in the industry. In groups of 10-15, workers will visit the Roadshow for approximately half an hour to hear a series of short talks. With Occupational Health being high on HSE’s agenda, this year’s Roadshow topics will be health-related - construction dust, hand arm vibration, noise – and to coincide with the launch of the construction industry’s own mental health awareness programme, Mates in Mind, we also have Tyneside and Northumberland Mind involved in the Roadshow. Ricky Guy, SHEQ Manager, said: Farrans Construction is proud to be working with the Working Well Together North East group and to be hosting part of the Roadshow event. By meeting with construction workers directly on site, the Roadshow offers an excellent opportunity to share health and safety information directly with those working at the coal face. Staff from Carney Consultancy Limited will be on hand throughout the week to answer any questions that may be asked. Our first representative on Monday 26th June 2017 will be Director Dave Carney at TEESRep Biomass Power Station alongside Tecnicas Reunidas. Dave Carney is also the Chairperson for Working Well Together - North East. |
In April 2017, we reported that we had been nominated and shortlisted for SME of the year at the Constructing Excellence in the North East Awards 2017. After months of anticipation, a number of staff, dressed in our finest, attended the awards ceremony, where we were lucky enough to walk away with the SME of the year award 2017. Director Dave Carney commented on the evening saying: "We had a great night at the CENE Awards on Friday night which was topped off by Carney Consultancy Ltd winning the SME of the Year award. It's really satisfying to be recognised at what I think is the premier ceremony of this type for the construction sector in the North East. Just to be short listed along side Metnor Construction Ltd, Castle Building Services and Patrick Parsons was big news for us, but to then scoop the award was a real surprise." Director Angela Carney further commented: "Carney Consultancy would like to thank all of our customers for continued business and the CCL team of Steve Harkness, Claire Redfern-Lown, Julie Turner, David Wadds, Martin Crammond, Jeff Mein, George Redfern-Lown & Simon Hogg for their hard work and dedication which has aided in our achieving this prestigious award. A company is only as good as the people it has working for it and we are fortunate to have a superb team." |
