This course is designed for those holding the role of Designer or Principal Designer under the new CDM regulations 2015. Course attendance will ensure that Principal Designers and Designers are aware of their responsibilities under CDM 2015. Overview The new CDM regulations came into force on April 6th 2015. There are several changes that will affect the duties of designers. The removal of the role of CDM co-ordinator and the new role of Principal Designer being a main change. The new regulations extend the prescribed duties into more work with domestic clients. Principal Designers will be required to co-ordinate H&S aspects of the design in the pre-construction phase and liaise with the Principal Contractor to help in the planning, monitoring and co-ordination of the construction phase. This course will identify the new and existing requirements and the guidance you need to ensure you comply. Course Structure
