George has recently joined Carney CDM as a Principal Designer/CDM Advisor
George began his career as Site Engineer for Sir Robert McAlpine during a placement year from his studies. Upon returning to Northumbria University, George achieved a first class (BSc) honours degree in Construction Engineering Management in 2021. George joined Carney CDM in 2024 as a Principal Designer and CDM Advisor. Prior to this, he gained a variety of knowledge during his three year employment as a consultant Project Manager, Principal Designer and Clerk of Works. In his multi-disciplinary role George acquired experience on a diverse range of projects across various sectors of the industry, ranging from new build housing schemes and large apartment block developments to complex high rise residential refurbishments. George is an Associate Member of the Association for Project Safety and Applicant Member of the Chartered Institute of Building, in which he is actively pursuing full chartered membership. Outside of work, George can often be found meandering around a golf course or watching a rugby match. He also enjoys exploring the countryside, whether it is walking his dog Mylo or shooting.
