Are you an experienced Administrator and looking for a new role? We are looking for an experienced Administrator to join our office team.
Key duties of the role:
Dealing calls and enquiries to the office
Booking training on our Coursesight booking system
Certificate generation
Preparation of training materials and paperwork for our training courses
Working with large word documents and updating policies
Updating information on our website.
Booking in appointments and accommodation & travel
Training room preparation
Provide admin support to Directors/H&S Consultants/Trainers
Invoicing for training courses when required
Assist with collating SSIP evidence
Work within our core values of Integrity, Partnership and Quality
The successful candidate will ideally have:
Experienced in using Office 365 – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Professional and friendly telephone manner
Professional in dealing the public and customer enquiries.
Attention to detail
Strong organizational skills
Works well as part of a team
Flexible “can do” approach.
Hours Full time and part time considered (full time salary equivalent around £30k depending on experience) 26 days holiday + bank holidays (based on full time hours) Team based bonus scheme

Carney CDM Ltd provide Principal Designer services in line with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. Our Team, who have extensive designer and health & safety experience utilise their knowledge to work closely with clients and designers to ensure the pre-construction stage is planned, managed and monitored. This is provided through effective communication throughout the design stage focusing on design risk workshops with all duty holders and ensuring all pre-construction information is provided. We work into the construction phase with all duty holders to ensure any design changes are reviewed from a health & safety perspective, focusing on both construction risks and risks to end users of the project. We pride ourselves on our personal approach to our clients and projects, delivering an affordable and professional service. We work collaboratively along-side our sister company Carney Consultancy Ltd, who have delivered health & safety consultancy for construction for over 20 years. As Principal Designer & CDM Advisor, the successful candidate will work collaboratively with project team members on all aspects of CDM compliance in accordance with current UK legislation, managing a portfolio of projects at various stages to ensure design risk management is managed throughout the project and into its operational life-cycle. We work with a variety of Clients in a range of different sectors including (but not limited to) healthcare, education, leisure, hospitality and industrial. Our team are personable, proactive and approachable and the successful candidate would channel this within their role. Key elements of the role include: • Prepare and maintain project level CDM compliance • Assist the Client in identifying and obtaining existing pre-construction information and manage its collation • Review existing information and identify areas where information is missing / required • Review and comment on designers’ hazard & risk information, lead design risk management review workshops and ensure the CDM significant risk register is updated and reviewed throughout the project • Maintain close links with designers and assist them in identifying and eliminating or controlling foreseeable risks to the health and safety of others during the construction of the project, operational period and end-of-life • Assist in the review of Construction Phase Plans • Assist in the preparation of the Health and Safety File • Technical report writing
The Successful Candidate Will Ideally Have • A recognised qualification in a design or engineering related discipline (degree or equivalent) • A recognised professional qualification in Health and Safety (e.g. NEBOSH Construction Certificate) • Certified Membership of APS, IOSH or equivalent • Flexible and adaptable, enthusiastic and ambitious • Proactive with good organisational capability • Excellent client-facing and communication skills • Keen to work in a collaborative environment • Ability to be assertive, contribute to and influence meetings • Experience of successfully working in a team • Ability to work to budgets and time constraints • Good technical writing skills At Carney CDM Ltd we know that our people are our most valuable asset and we take pride in ensuring our team can deliver their role to their full potential in an environment that suits them.
