Kerry graduated from Northumbria University in 2014 with a degree in construction management.
In 2012 Kerry was part of a group of 6 selected from her University course to carry out a 3-week Passivhaus project in Denmark and a 2.5-month building/renovation project in Zambia. This involved the renovation of sports facilities within schools. The work involved, included sourcing contractors, materials and the allocation of suitable funds to complete the build. Kerry also gained a 14-month work experience placement with McCarthy and Stone as assistant site manager, progressing to the role of site manager for the last 3 months of the build. In addition to managing progress, costs and overseeing quality control, she was responsible for managing and maintaining the health, safety and welfare on site by giving regular toolbox talks and issuing up to date changes in health and safety regulations. Kerry completed as part of her University course. After graduating from university, she secured a job with Merit and Merrell as an assistant project engineer working on various projects throughout the UK. Kerry has also completed her Site Managers Safety Training Scheme. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family along with travelling, camping and occasionally surfing. |
