Martin is a Chartered Member of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) and is an Incorporated Member of Association of Project Safety (IMaPS). He started his career in construction back in 2006 as a joiner.
In 2012 Martin took an opportunity to follow a career in Health & Safety. He undertook his NEBOSH General Certificate and started working for a company in the oil and gas sector before moving back to the construction industry. In 2015 Martin gained his IEMA Associate Certificate in Environmental Management and is now PIEMA. Martin is also qualified as a Temporary Works Coordinator, Scaffold Inspector and has completed both his NEBOSH Construction Certificate and internal ISO9001:2015 auditors course. Martin also in 2019 completed his NEBOSH Diploma. Martin is an experienced trainer delivering Risk Management, Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels, Safe Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness, IOSH Managing Safely along with CITB courses such as Site Safety Supervisors Training Scheme. Martin is also a qualified & experienced Face Fit Tester. Martin is a committee member of Working Well Together North East. He has also recently joined the One Voice climate change group & will be joining the Constructing Excellence North East Advisory Board. Outside of health & safety Martin is a keen Motorcycle Racer.... Yes, a Motorcycle Racer. Where he will be visiting tracks throughout the UK, when Martin isn't racing his Motorcycles, he could be found either out playing golf or travelling around the wilderness in his campervan. |
